FAQ

What is integrated supply?
Integrated supply is the outsourcing of certain supply chain related business processes to an integrated services company. These business processes may include strategic sourcing and procurement, inventory control, and warehouse and/or tool crib management. By leveraging volume purchases and supplier networks, integrators are generally able to lower material costs for their clients. Because many of these outsourced processes now fall under the scope of the integrator, significant transaction cost reductions and efficiency savings should be realized.

What are some examples of hard-cost savings?
Reduced material costs
Reduced or redeployed headcount
Reduced salary “load” or burden
Reduced inventory & carrying costs
Product substitutions
Avoided hardware & software costs
Avoided implementation fees
Increased inventory turnover
Avoided consulting & training fees
Reduction in technician “windshield time”
Increased fill-rates
Consignment agreements
Tool watch & asset tracking

What are some examples of soft-cost savings?
Bar coding & crib management technology
Reduced transaction costs from process standardization & workflow analysis
Tool crib planogram & layout
Reduced quantity of transactions (purchase orders, transfers, etc.)
Data management
Product standardization

Supplier Co-Op fund management
SRM: Supplier Relationship Management (negotiations, fill rates, supplier performance monitoring, metrics, etc.)

Repairables & preventative maintenance management

What does your program cost?
Because each client site is unique and the scope of services will invariably differ, it’s difficult to tell. Most of the first few weeks are spent on getting to know each prospective client. After a non-disclosure agreement is signed, Fulton will conduct a preliminary site survey to gather the information necessary to jointly construct a comprehensive ROI analysis. Once the prospective client and Fulton agree on project scope and the projected program benefits, we’ll formulate our proposal to include clear and itemized pricing.
